Der sechsmalige Tour de France-Sieger Lance Armstrong plant eine zweite Karriere als Politiker. In der aktuellen Ausgabe des Magazins "GQ" sagte er in einem Interview: "Vielleicht kandidiere ich auch als Gouverneur von Texas." 2006 wolle er zwar noch nicht zur Wahl antreten, der Gouverneurssitz in Austin sei aber auf längere Sicht "ein netter Platz, nettes Haus", so Armstrong.
