die regierung von Illes Balears hat erklärt, als hauptsponsor des radteams spätestens in 2jahren aufzuhören. sie werden zukünftig die basketballmannschaft von Menorca sponsern, die sind gerade in die erste spanische liga aufgestiegen. den werden sie die 4,5 millionen zahlen, um dort spielen zu dürfen...

ganz wollen sie sich nicht vom radsport zurückziehen, sondern weiter als co-sponsor fungieren und verhandeln gerade mit einer französischen vereinigung, die das notwendige geld für den radsport beisteuern soll...

Ich denke, dass der jetzige Co-Sponsor Caisse d´Espargne mehr und mehr das Ruder übernehmen wird. Dann haben wir die paradoxe Situation, eine spanische Radsportgruppe mit französischem Sponsor zu haben. Schon für nächste Saison ist ja geplant, mindestens 6 Franzosen an Bord zu nehmen!

Hoffentlich finden sie schnell einen neuen Sponsor so wie als "Banesto" aufgehört hat da kam ja dirket "Illes Balears".

Aber die Suche war alles andere als einfach, lange sah es nicht gut aus.

insgesamt natürlich immer unschön, wenn ein Sponsor aufhört - aber es eröffnet doch immerhin auch die Chance auf ein schöneres Trickot

Caisse d'epargne ist eigentlich schon eine großen Sponsor, das Team heisst: ILLES BALEARS - CAISSE D'EPARGNE

Und so ganz neue ist es auch nicht. CyclingNews hat irgendwann letztes Jahr das folgende berichtet:

Illes Balears co-sponsored by Caisse d'Epargne
Illes Balears has announced that French company Caisse d'Epargne will be the
co-sponsor of its ProTeam in 2005 and 2006. The National savings bank, third
bank of France, has decided to invest in pro cycling with the objective of
reinforcing its expansion campaign and its branding values.

Following the sponsorship agreement, the team will officially be called Team
Illes Balears-Caisse d'Epargne for the first two seasons of the UCI ProTour.
Its racing programme will of course include the ProTour races, but also most
of the Spanish and French races. Illes Balears and Caisse d'Epargne have
furthermore announced their willingness to extend their partnership beyond
2006.
