chreezer hat es ja schon im euskaltel-thread geschrieben, aber hier die news von www.cyclingnews.com :

das raffe ich nicht! hier steht, dass sein augenblickliches team bis zum 28.1. nicht regisitriert sein wird - damit können sie ja nur mercatone meinen.

das macht aber keinen sinn, da er dort wohl nur bis zum 31.12. unter vertrag war - sein "neues" team ist barloworld und die sind jetzt bei der uci registriert - VOR dem 28.1.!

was geht ab, alder?!?

Anscheinend sieht die Uzi Barloworld nicht als Rechtsnachfolger von Mercatone an - genau so hat ja auch Albizu argumentiert!

albizu hat keinen vertrag mit barloworld. albizu hat anfang 2003 ein 2jahres-vetrag mit dem management von mercatone uno geschlossen. jenes management ist jetzt für barloworld zuständig und die wollten albizu dahin mitnehmen mit diesem vertrag. da die uci es aber so ansieht, das albizu's vertrag nur gültigkeit für den arbeitsplatz "mercatone uno" hat, braucht er nicht für barloworld zu fahren. und da mercatone uno kein team für 2004 gemeldet hat, ist er ein freier mensch und darf für euskaltel fahren.

Joseba Albizu has finally got the go ahead from the UCI to sign for the Euskaltel-Euskadi team. The signing will take place on the 27 January at 12:00 at the Fundación Ciclista Euskadi in Derio. The rider who was still under a year contract with the Mercatone Uno team (which officially ceases to exsist on January 28th) was in contractual limbo – thankfullt that is now sorted out.
